If and when i will find and test it i will write the results 
Iwas occupied installing AUX-IN to it so software updating was delayed.

I did encountered a similar problem after software update and i did manage to repair my navi 
I spend a lot of time thinking about it and I did found a solution !
I did prepare recovery disc which You need to burn ( i did it on 16x speed on a verbatim CD with Pioneer CD burner )

Ten you need to remove radio and find on it in the bottom a little hole with switch in it.
Turn on the ignition and insert burned CD to the drive then
press the ESC button till radio resets then press the hidden button till radio resets again then JUST WAIT and listen if the CD drive tries to read the disc
Yu will know that the radio is in RECOVERY because the fan will work normal.
